On the afternoon of April 24, Prof. Thom Palstra, President of University of Twente, the Netherlands and Ms. Hanna Lange from the Office of International Affairs visited the International Center for Quantum Design of Functional Materials（ICQD）and sought further cooperation in the future. Prof. Zhenyu Zhang, the co-director of ICQD met with the visitors. He warmly introduced the history and development of the center, as well as the“Quantum Design of Novel Energy Materials Base” , known as “111” project. They had an in-depth communication about the latest research of Superconductivity.
After visiting the several labs of Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale (HFNL), Prof. Thom Palstra gave a lecture titled “Symmetry, Topology in Advanced Electronic Materials” in Exhibition Hall, HFNL. Prof. Zhenyu Zhang hosted the lecture.
